We’ve put together local Activities to keep the kids entertained!
Somerset Regional Council has activities running for local children and youth in the region. They are offering a range of programs to support an active and healthy lifestyle and are a great opportunity for the kids to socialise and parents to have the afternoon off.
Somerset Regional Council are trialling After-School Scooter Workshops at the Lowood and Fernvale Skate Parks. This comes after successful Scooter Workshops run in the School Holidays. The workshops will run for 5 weeks, with two different sets of dates and locations on Friday afternoons. These workshops will be run by a qualified instruction, Levi Knight, and are fully funded by the Somerset Regional Council.

Where: Fernvale Skate Park
When: 8th Oct – 5th Nov 2021 (5 weeks)
Time: Fridays 3:30pm – 5:30pm
All abilities are welcome to attend and all participants should bring their own scooter, helmet, water bottle and appropriate clothing and shoes. Registrations will be taken at the event.

Something for the big kids (12-18yrs)
The Somerset Youth Movie Night is showcasing Noosa Film Academy (NFA) youth films. This is a great opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the NFA Somerset local youth. Following the presentations, the new release movie, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings will be the feature film.
This event is only available for high school students and families of students involved in the NFA youth films. Free popcorn and free transport for those coming outside of Toogoolawah will also be available. The free buses will be leaving from Fernvale, Lowood, Coominya, Esk, Harlin and Kilcoy.
